Summary of Orbs

The kinds of orbs and what they are for can be found on the InsomniumRP Deviant Art Group pages.

Cassidy attuned a Red (common) orb in Sound in the Silence, after accepting that she would rather be frightening to everyone than dead.  The red orb became a christmas tree as a result, and is currently anchoring The Christmas House, a construct of Cassidy's memories.

Nei'ess found a blue (common) orb in Unconditional Positive Regard while trying to comfort Taki, and realizing that even though he was scared and abused, he still wanted to help others, attuned it into a first aid medical bag with a waist belt.  He gave it to Dani in Heart to Heart

Milton found a yellow (common) orb in Shadows in the Fog while running away from the crowded situation at the arrival platform.  It has not been attuned yet.  His realization that he really is a monster turned it into a knife in his pocket.

Elizabeth attuned a blue (common) orb in The Date after addressing her own guilt in The Second Wave (page 3) at leading her friend Klaus on in spite of knowing their relationship would bring disruption to Fate.  The orb transformed into a lovely Baroque style french gown.

Shepard found a red (common) orb in The Second Wave (page 4, lol) that attuned during her fight with Mitte into a locked bookshelf, in response to her admitting her own loneliness but determination to make herself useful and find a place to belong for her own reasons.  it is currently not being used to anchor anything.  It sank into the ground and created the Warrens, and is now residing in a secret library.

Mitte attuned a yellow (common) orb in The Second Wave (page 4) durring his fight with Shepard, after admitting that maybe he was broken, rather than the world, and he no longer knew what to do about that.  It became a formless humanoid doll.  He gave it to Shepard for christmas and now it is in her pocket.

Then

Cassidy noticed a green (uncommon) orb in And Then There Were None? while getting her head bashed in.  It attuned to Kyte's realisation that fear does not have to stop him, and became a sword with scabbard and belt.

Kyte had found the blue (common) orb in And Then There Were None? that attuned to Cassidy's realisation that she doesn't actually need a sword to fight, which he gave to Cassidy when he found her at the Ice Palace.

Andrew and Cassidy both missed seeing the orange (uncommon) orb rolling away from them in Just Mist Her.  It was last seen laying on the ground somewhere between the Christmas House and the ruins in the mist where Cassidy was first ambushed by Malachite. Edit: Lucas found it.

Cassidy picked up a yellow (common) orb at the foot of the Hivemind Tower (temporary created space, now gone) in Just Mist Her, and it later attuned into a shield shaped necklace, with her admitting that she was glad to have Boy around.  She gave it to Sara in It's Always About a Dame so he could go home, since they both came from the same world and time.

Nei'ess attuned a yellow (common) orb in And Then There Were None? that has taken the form of the bracelet half of his servitude collar, with the realisation that all his hiding, all his pain from being born a Magi, was nothing in the big picture, and he was worthless.  (not exactly positive character development, but development and change anyway)

Then:

Theodorus attuned a red (common) orb in One Misty Moisty Morning with the realization that sometimes there is merit in running away. It became the Imperial Ice Cave.

Kria found a Blue (common) orb in Were There's a Wolf, There's a Way which was attuned by Elizabeth into a bag of oracular supplies, when Elizabeth realized and admitted that she loved Klaus.

Taki attuned a red (common) orb in Double Rainbow (all the way) while realizing he needs and wants help learning about his telepathy.  He made the nightclub.

Kale found a Red (common) orb in The Darkness which Hides which has not been attuned.  It is currently in Jessica's hood.

Kyte found a red (common) orb in Singing in the Rain which has not been attuned.  No wait, realizing he knew next to nothing about sirens, and the world in general, while running from the dragon attuned the orb, still in his pocket, into a balefire, a small flame.

Cadence found a yellow (common) orb in Singing in the Rain which was attuned by her decision to stop running from her fears, and start facing and overcoming them, into a bracelet of seashells.

Dani attuned a purple (uncommon) orb in Stop,Drop, and Roll which became a coat (armor) in response to his realization that his heart is beautiful, even if it is a thing that sets him apart.  He gave it to Nei'ess in Heart to Heart to protect him during the impending confrontation with Hawke.  It has since been given back.
 
Nei'ess attuned a red (common) orb in Stop,Drop, and Roll which became a worn and comfortable arm chair, with the realization that his fears could be faced and overcome  The armchair turned into the used book store Nei'ess once lived in, with an apothecary next door.

Then:

Liam attuned a red (common) orb in Lost and Gone Forever with the realization that, while Cassidy is the most important person to him, there are still other people who need protection, and he can offer then that protection.  It became part of the trunk of a fallen log, and probably would have been stuck there where he'd attuned it if he wasn't ridiculously strong.  It is currently leaning against the outside of Nei'ess' used book store.

(I totally missed that) Hotori found a red (common) orb in Wherever I May Roam that has yet to be attuned. (and was used to drop the character)
 
Lucas found the Orange (uncommon) orb spotted by Cassidy and Andrew, finally, in Too Strung up to Sleep though it has not yet been attuned.  It became a pair of spectacles that allow the wearer medical insight and knowledge, with the realization that there is a good and a bad way to use his keen powers of observation.

Max found a blue (common) orb in Too Strung up to Sleep which has not been attuned yet.  It was given to Lucas who gave it to Klaus in the hopes of making a cure for the lung-melting-plague.  Klaus gave it to Malachite when he found her.

Samuel found a blue orb in Flight Feathers in response to his realization in Gingerbread house that he was allowed to have his own thoughts and reactions to things.  It became a wing prosthetic, to complete the one that was deformed when he was born, and will theoretically let him learn to fly.

Kale found a blue (common) orb in Of Blood, Bone, and all things Rotten which he attuned into a coat of scales with the realization that he his actions were capable of bringing harm to others, and that he had a responsibility to those affected.

Elizabeth picked up a purple (uncommon) orb in Flight Feathers and put it in her bag.  it has not yet been attuned.  It became attuned during her encounter with Nightmare Klaus in Argument Klaus(e) into a body stocking that blocks physical attacks with all the imperviousness of plate armor, in spite of it's apparent flimsiness.  It attuned in response to her realization that she doesn't have to play victim to her own fears of Klaus' reactions, if she just stands up to and accepts his actual reactions, by giving him her honesty and the space to have them.

Then

Kria found a yellow (common) orb in Wandering Orbitals.  It has not yet been attuned. It is in one of Samuel's pockets.  It is in a fruit bowl in Sam's house in the warrens. (it has been attuned now)

Mitte found a blue (common) orb in Merry Sewer that attuned into a uniform suit and a briefcase with his realization that he had outgrown his home world and wanted to <del>conquer</del> visit all of the others.

Nei'ess attuned a yellow (common) orb into a small box with a heart motif in Fear Itself, by his realization that Hawke's abuse had warped him, but that did not mean he had to stay that way, and that he had a future ahead of himself in which to resolve that and make himself what he wanted to be again.  He gave the box to Dani, remembering that he already has a yellow orb waiting for him in the mists.

Kria attuned a blue (common) orb into the shape of her handbag in Wandering Orbitals, with the realisation that she is not as saintly compassionate and all loving as she thought she was.

Liam attuned a Green (uncommon) orb into a Greatsword of Kord, with the realisation that in spite of her innumerable flaws and faults, he still respected Cassidy for her resilience.  Its magical effect being that it will come to him when called, if he has to leave it somewhere for any reason (like dissolving and ending back up in Cassidy's head).

Then

Mitte found a yellow (common) orb in Go now, Into the Mists which he gave to Elizabeth in Argument Klaus(e) Ian managed to attune it into a picture of his family with the realization that he wasn't alone in his issues and it was okay to seek out and ask for help in Wake-Up Call, but said anyone else could use it if they needed. Elizabeth is carrying it.

Samuel found another yellow (common) orb on his own, in Wandering Orbitals, it is also in his pocket, unattuned. It is in a fruit bowl in Sam's house in the warrens.

Adrian found a blue (common) orb on his way from the Platform to the quarantine in Shipping Out.   It turned into a medical machine that can create organic matter out of other organic matter, up to the size of single organs, in [] from his realization that he really had loved Millia.  The machine is currently in the spaceship of the quarantine.

Samuel, still wandering the mists in search of orbs for his new friends, discovered a Red (common) orb, a Blue (common) orb, another blue (common) orb, and an unspecified color of (uncommon) orb.  None of these have been attuned and he is planning to share XD  They are sitting in a bowl in Sam's house in the warrens.  Allan attuned one of the Blue orbs into an all-weather shirt in Feather Free and Fancy. (there is one yellow, one red, and one uncommon left)

Leirina Attuned a Red (common) orb in Misterious Ways with her realization that there are people (like Joss) who will help her fight her battles.  It has become an exceptionally girly fairy tiara styled crown, and is keeping the golem tower from going away.

Then

Dani found a yellow (common) orb in By the Pricking of My Thumbs while being tormented by his nightmare. It attuned into a key with the realisation that he felt betrayed by his mother having lied to him, and also that she had, despite her mistakes, loved him and tried her best.  He has given it to Nei'ess.

Cassidy attuned a Yellow (common) orb in Nightmare before Christmas with her realization (among many others) that even though she feared Nick was dead, she still had an obligation to return home and make sure that, if he was, he wasn't left roaming and eating other people.  It became a bag of assorted dice, which Liam is carrying for her.

Liam also attuned a Yellow (common) orb in Nightmare before Christmas, realizing that Cassidy doesn't need him anymore.  It became his mother's marriage torc, which he is wearing as a cuff around his left arm.

Milton attuned a green (uncommon) orb into a hand knife in Something More Lighthearted realizing that he doesn't have to fear his mother's memory anymore because he's something far scarier than she ever was.

Andrew picked up a red (common) orb in Bear in Mind, that has not been attuned yet.

Cassidy picked up a blue (common) orb in Two Steps Forward, One Setback that is in her pocket and has not yet been attuned. Layne attuned it in Shut Up Brain, realizing she didn't want to be a monster who attacked innocent people  It has become a prosthetic leg to replace her missing one..

Kria found a grey (rare) orb in Two in the Bush, that became a magic glyph on her palm that allows her to turn a person she is touching into another species of person.  It attuned to her realization that humans were never going to treat her like a person unless she looked like they did.

Cadence attuned a blue (common) orb into a long ribbon, in Glubbing Asshoals, with the realization that she wanted real meaningful connections rather than shallow manipulated adoration.

Gabriel picked up a yellow (common) orb in A Casket of Words.  It has not been attuned yet, and he is holding it in his hand.  It became a replica of the knife his father always carries, with the realization that he is a terrible hero.

Klaus found a Yellow common orb in [] It has become the head of a rabbit in "Waiting for Godot" with his realizing that, in trying to save everyone, he has been repeatedly leaving people in potential danger to chase the next crisis, rather than committing himself to one person's protection..

Dani found a blue (common) orb in Double Jeopardy and is holding it attuned it in Colorful Language into a neverending bag of cellphones from Dani's recognition of the depths of his feelings of Nei,much as he hasn't identified them as romantic yet, and also the realization that Nei helps him be stronger

Joss attuned a red (common) orb in Colorful Language that has become a book with his realization that he cares for Leirina beyond his usual selfless wish to protect everyone, or admiration of her being a pretty girl.  He's still afraid to think of it as love, but that is a thin veil of denial indeed.

Then:

Allan attuned one of the Blue orbs Sam found, into an allweather shirt, in "Feather free" realizing life can be simple sometimes.  It is in Sam's house.

Kria attuned one of the two yellow orbs in Sam's house into a microscope in "Feather Free" realizing she still had a lot to do to learn about acting, and actually being human.  It is in her purse now.

Lucas attuned the other blue orb from Sam's house into a beautiful flowy dress in "feather free" with the realization that he could actually help people without screwing up.

(I had missed that) Edward attuned a blue (common) orb into an all purpose shape changing musical instrument, in "Pure Darkness" realizing that he can actually be himself around Noir without judgement or expectations.

Mitte's nightmare of himself is carrying a red (common) orb that Dani's nightmare of his predecessor found (XD).

And then

Cadence attuned a Red (common) orb in Shell-shocked into a clamshell with the realization that she didn't actually know what her father thought, about her, or anyone.

Dani also attuned a yellow (common) orb in Colorful Language, into a box containing special surgical thread, realizing that his greatest obstacle is his own mind

Not attuned, but changing hands, the bowl of orbs at Samuel's house is empty now, with Samuel retaining the purple orb, and Lucas carrying a red and a yellow orb.

No wait, Lucas attuned the Yellow (common) orb into an issue of a serial pulp magazine, realizing that he needed to start talking to other people abut his problems, to get them out of his head.

Andrew attuned a Yellow (common) orb in Robostop into his officer issue handgun with the admission that it would be much easier not to go home and face the truths he fears.

Andrew attuned a blue (common) orb in  Robostop into an unending notepad and pen with the realization that he was going to miss Cassidy, even just for having a friend to talk to honestly.

Andrew attuned a yellow (common) orb in  Robostop into a toy policeman badge reading "Officer SuperAndy" with the realization that, in spite of all the crazy, he still wanted to come back to the Insomnium.
 


As of June 6, 2013, Characters have found 6 common orbs, 0 uncommon orbs, and 0 rare orbs.

As of July 12, 2013, Characters have found 9 common orbs, 2 (more like 1) uncommon orbs, and 0 rare orbs.

As of September 11, 2013, Characters have found 15 common orbs, 3(2) uncommon orbs, and 0 rare orbs.

As of October 19, 2013, Characters have found 25 common orbs, 5 uncommon orbs, and 0 rare orbs.

As of November 15th, 2013, Characters have found 33 common orbs, 6 uncommon orbs, and 0 rare orbs.

As of November 23rd, 2013, Characters have found 36 common orbs, 6 uncommon orbs, and 0 rare orbs.

As of December 17th, 2013, Characters have found 40 common orbs, 7 uncommon orbs, and 1 rare orb.

as of January 19th, 2014. Characters have found 43 common orbs, 7 uncommon orbs, and 1 rare orb

As of February 4th, 2014, Characters have found 45 common orbs, 7 uncommon orbs, and 1 rare orb. (there are two uncommon up for finding now)

As of February 16th 2014, Characters have found 51 common orbs, 7 uncommon orbs, and 1 rare orb.
